Who runs Giving121 and why
Giving121 is run by Independent Check Ltd, a UK company based in Cardiff. It lists single needs, from £30 to £500, that a registered charity, council, school, housing association or NHS team has checked, so a private giver can pay for one. It's a new service, and we're starting with a small pilot.

Why does it exist?
Some needs are too small for a grant and too specific for benefits. Caseworkers meet them every week and often have no budget for them. Giving121 lists them, one at a time.
